Memory test : Chimps vesus humans

Those who still assume that chimpanzees could not match humans in memory and other mental skills have been prooved wrong. Japanese scientists were testing the memory of chimpanzees - the tasks involved remembering the location of numbers on a screen, and correctly recalling the sequence. The result was really interesting.

The findings in 2007, published in Current Biology, show that we may have under-estimated the intelligence of our closest living relatives: It has been discovered that chimpanzees have an extraordinary photographic memory that is far superior to ours.

For more information about the test, you can visit ex. the National Geographic website.

Namaste.
