How could I get rid of all these things?

I am sure that everyone needs to deal with this question now and then. The reasons why can vary - we might have a wardrobe full of things that we don't use anymore, or we are moving and don't want to carry all the stuff that we've acummulated during the years,... The easiest way how to solve the problem is to simply throw the things to garbage or put them near to the ash bin and hope somebody will find them useful. We can also use them as a nice present for homeless people - but be careful, they have a very good memory and if you give them something once, they may chase you for more for the rest of your lifes... so better chose a homeless somewhere far away from the place where you live. ;-)

But sometimes, the things you don't want anymore are really nice and quite new and you think it is a pitty to throw them away, which is my case. I've tried to sell some clothes and other stuff that I don't want to keep anymore - I placed many advertisements on internet (Hyperinzerce, Bazar, Annonce, Aukro,...) but I wasn't able to sell the majority of things. So I thought ok, let's do a good turn and donate them. However, I came across a problem here - it is not easy to donate things to organizations because you usually need to follow their complicated prosedures. Or do you have a different experience? Finally, walking in a street, an interesting poster attracted my attention. It was encouraging to donate things in good condition to Domov Sue Ryder.

Comming home, I googled their website http://www.sue-ryder.cz/en and found out that Domov Sue Ryder is a non-government, not-for-profit organization that provides care for people who need help - mainly providing care to elderly frail people. One of the financial sources they use to gather money is through selling donated things in their shops http://www.sue-ryder.cz/dobrocinne-obchody.html to public. The product range is broad: clothes, fashion accessories, gift items, toys, books, pictures, small furniture,... You simply bring the things you want to donate to the shop during opening hours or you can arrange a date and donate the things at the time of your convenience or they can even come to pick up the things to your home!

I strongly encourage you to donate what you don't need anymore to them because beside getting rid of your things very easily, you facilitate that they find the way to a new owner (buyer) that deserves them and, what is the most important, you contribute to social and health care for old ill people who really need it. I certainly will participate. And you?

Namaste.
