Where to buy fresh fish in Prague

Good news for everyone that live in Prague and like eating fish! There is a new shop on Vinohradska street between the tram stations Vinohradska trznice and Italska called FishPoint. They are offering different types of fresh fish - I've bought salmon, tuna, codfish and bar victoria so far and all were fresh and tasted excellent. (I prepared some of them on grill with lemon, salt and fresh herbs and I baked the codfish in the oven wrapped with tomatoes, olives, slices of onion, tomatoe sauce, pepper, salt and added roasted almonds at the end... yummy.)

Btw, I really recommend bar victoria to those of you that hate separating fish bones while eating because filets of this fish don't have any bones! Moreover, it is the best choice for children who don't like fish because bar victoria doesn't smell or taste like a typical fish but more like something between fish and poultry.

I also bought precooked large shrimps and prepared them on a pan with white wine, garlic and salt and they were delicious! (Considering I am not a seafood fan, you can imagine that thay must have been REALLY delicious). And as they are precooked, in case you are in hurry or lazy to cook, you don't even need to do anything else but heat them in a microwave and they are ready for consumption.

The prices are not bad at all considering the quality (ranging from 40 to 80Kc/100g, shrimps 38Kc/100g which are like 5-6 big shrimps).

I am already looking forward to visiting this shop again, maybe see you there! =)

Namaste.
